Where is the Food Pantry located?
The food pantry is located on

3rd Street
in the First Church of Christ Life Center. The main church parking lot is available to our clients.

 

How is it operated?
The food pantry is run under a client’s choice mode of operation. Under this system, clients are free to choose foods that are right for their individual families. Food items have been assigned a value called “credits”. Clients sign in upon arrival and are issued a number of credits (based upon family size) that can be used to “purchase” available food items.

 

When is the food pantry open?
The food pantry is open 2 days each month, a Saturday and then the following Tuesday. Please refer to the event calendar for specific dates. Time of operation for each of the 2 days is from
– 12:00 pm. Clients are limited to one visit per household per month, must come in person and present an ID.

 

Who is eligible to visit the food pantry?
Anyone living in Carter County who is in need of emergency food supplies is welcome to make a visit.

 

What are the needs of the Food Pantry?
There is always a need for specific food items such as cooking oil, self rising flour, corn meal, peanut butter, crackers, and spaghetti sauce.

 

Food drives, monetary contributions and donations of  grocery "point" cards are practical ways in which you can help.
Most importantly, however, we need your prayers!
