On January 4, 2007, the center was unveiled for church members and the public with an open house.Little Blessings opened for its first day of operation on Monday, January 22nd. This is a great success and we praise the Lord for all he has done!
Please look for ways to be an encouragement to the families as they visit our Church and make them feel welcome. Please pray for the families we serve and the workers.
We hope to further the Lord's Kingdom through this service.
Mission and Purpose
Our mission is to provide exceptional quality care and essential skills to ensure proper development in a safe, stimulating, and caring Christian environment.
Our hope is that your child will develop his or her feeling of self-worth and dignity and that you and your child might be encouraged in a walk with the Lord.
As a Family Ministry of First Church of Christ, Little Blessings is a non-profit, self-supporting organization that is provided as a service to our community. Children are admitted without regard to race, color, sex, religion, or national origin.
What We Believe about Children
We believe children learn by doing and that development is a process.
We assume children are active, competent, and curious.
We assume children want to learn.
We believe children learn best in a safe environment, which encourages their active involvement in the learning process, promotes home-centered continuity, and enhances the individual child's areas of development (i.e., cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development).
As a result, Little Blessings offers programs for young children based on simple routines, careful planning, and developmental appropriateness.
Children have opportunities for self-selected activities, small and large group activities. In addition, children have the opportunity to work, interact, investigate, and express himself/herself through group living, creative activities, excursions, health and safety education and language experiences.

Curriculum
An activity based curriculum was adopted and ordered for the center's use after much research. WEE (Weekday Early Education) Learn is a Biblically based curriculum available through Lifeway Resources. The curriculum aligns very nicely with curriculum standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
