Come As You Are...

Little Blessings Early Childhood Center

Welcome!

On January 22, 2007 Little Blessings officially opened its door to the community to begin to serve them and start "Making a difference in the lives of Children".  In October of 2009 Little Blessings became a Level Two STARS for KIDS NOW facility recognized on a National Childcare registry.  The STARS for KIDS NOW is a quality program that is used to show that a facility provides quality care for the children who attend Little Blessings.

Mission and Purpose

Our mission is to provide exceptional quality care and essential skills to ensure proper development in a safe, stimulating, and caring Christian environment.

Our hope is that your child will develop his or her feeling of self-worth and dignity and that you and your child might be encouraged in a walk with the Lord.

As a Family Ministry of First Church of Christ, Little Blessings is a non-profit, self-supporting organization that is provided as a service to our community. Children are admitted without regard to race, color, sex, religion, or national origin.

What We Believe about Children
We believe children learn by doing and that development is a process.
We assume children are active, competent, and curious.
We assume children want to learn.

We  believe children learn best in a safe environment, which encourages their active involvement in the learning process, promotes home-centered continuity, and enhances the individual child's areas of development (i.e., cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development).

As a result, Little Blessings offers programs for young children based on simple routines, careful planning,  and developmental appropriateness.

Children have opportunities for self-selected activities, small and large group activities. In addition, children have the opportunity to work, interact, investigate, and express himself/herself through group living, creative activities, excursions, health and safety education and language experiences.

Curriculum

We provide quality care for the children who attend Little Blessings with a combination of active and quiet activities that challenge your child while still providing them with obtainable tasks.  We began using the Read It Once Again in October of 2008.  It is a literacy based curriculum that is also recommended for children who have special needs.  The curriculum is broken down into Book Units that are studied by the children in one month settings.
We are also a Christian based Early Childhood Center.  The children have a weekly Bible Verse that is implemented into their daily activities and values used within the classrooms.  The Christian emphasis can also be found in the prayers that fill the hallways daily.  Nothing is sweeter than the prayers of a child.
What ages are served:
We serve children from 6 weeks to age 5, a child who is not enrolled in Kindergarten.  We are open to the community and welcome everyone who is need of quality childcare.

What Ages are served at Little Blessings?
Little Blessings offer programs for infants from 6 weeks up to 5 years old, as long as the child is not enrolled in Kindergarten.
